Blenheim – first impressions of the south island - eglish version

The north island was mostly beautiful. It varied in many ways like temperature, colour of beach, architecture and many different little things. With a few exceptions like the tongariro crossing the nature throughout was green – even though in different facets. It will be interesting seeing in which way the south island will distinguish. First Impressions will follow.

On the first of January we made our way to the south island. We drove three hours with the ferry. We arrived at 11pm on the south island. We camped closed to Picton. First free night in the new year J

On the next day in the morning we drove to Blenheim – relaxing, washing the clothes and a small walk through the Wither Hills Farm Park.

There you go. The wither hills maybe just some hills in the Blenheim hinterland, but there were at the same time totally different to anything we have seen so far. They are covered in some sort of rye. From afar they appear bleak or golden. As we climbed them the wind would blow over the rye, which was amazing to see. Like waves in the sea.
