Byron Bay, Surfer Lesson and Nimbin – we got high! :D - english version

Next station was Byron Bay. Once again we were lucky with our hostel. Right at the beach and actually we booked a 4 dorm room, but for the next 4 days we had the room to ourselves, because the hostel wasn’t fully booked. :)

Surfer Lesson
Surfer Lesson
Marleen had her first surfer lesson. Weeks ago Fabio had to cancel it because of his bad back.

We were a group of 20 people and there were 3 surfinstructor. Unfortunately there is only this photo with the surfboard, you didn’t have any chance to take a photo during the surfer lesson or you had – once again – to pay for it.

But one thing I (Marleen) have to tell you. I really stood up more than five times on the board and more than 10 seconds!!!! :) So cool! But the sore muscle for the next two days wasn’t the best, haha! :D

Nimbin
For all of you who don´t know Nimbin, Nimbin is a small hippie village 45 minutes far away from Byron Bay. There you can buy nice things. ;)

We decided to buy some tasty „cookies“! ;) We had a funny time. 1 hour of laughing till we cried and don’t know why, eating half a chocolate, just delicious and asking yourself what you did the last 30 minutes! :D

Nimbin

Tour to the most easterly point of Australia by bicycle
Byron Bay is located the most easterly point of Australia, of course we didn´t miss this highlight! :) We rent some bicycles and off we went. The last 800 meters you could only reach by foot. We saw dolphins and wales, unfortunately there is no proof, but in any case you hadn´t be able to see it on a picture! ;)

Fabio bought a new swim shorts in Surfers Paradise, and therefore he didn’t need his old one anymore. But he couldn’t throw it away just like that; it was his favourite shorts for the past 10 years and a memory of his time as a life guard in his hometown Leverkusen. We looked for a beautiful place on the beach, buried the shorts and had a minute of silence… Good bye swim shorts..
