Back to Thailand Part 2 – Chiang Rai – White Temple – WHERE IS OUR WALLET?? - english version

After a three hour ride we arrived in Chiang Rai. A small city where there is not much to do.

Wat Rong Khun „White Temple“ and waterfall
We decided to rent a scooter and drive to the White Temple and the waterfall. The White Temple was the main reason why we wanted to go to Chiang Rai! And it was worth the money! The Temple is the most beautiful temple we have seen so far!!! The storefront is white and they put everywhere small pieces of mirror on it. Unfortunately the temple was a little bit destroyed because of the earthquake earlier this year. But see yourself!

Afterwards we drove to the waterfall. It was a long way and on the way we passed some other scooter driver and this time we didn’t know why, but they waved at us. We arrived at the gate and then we understood - the waterfall was closed!!!! Nobody could tell us why – too bad!

On the way back we passed a wonderful park were we stopped for a small walk.

Khao Soi – the best and cheapest dish!!!
Through Tripadvisor we found this nice restaurant. It was the best dish and sooo cheap!!! Khoa Soi is one speciality of the northern part of Thailand. We ordered both a coke and the dish and we only paid 3,30 USD

WHERE IS OUR WALLET??!!
Back in Chiang Mai we almost died, the air was already sooo thin….
Good we brought three credit cards for the travels. Four months ago when we were on Railay we had some drinks and Fabio left number one in the ATM - Genius. Number two was left in the bus along with the rest of the wallet. Luckily, Fabio could rescue it in the last second, BECAUSE card number three has been hacked or something and is now blocked. If Fabio had not run back to the bus station like a retard in 35°C heat in my flip flops and begged them to allow him search the bus for the wallet, we would right now stand here in Thailand without any cash. One day before we took 10.000 Baht from the ATM and this money was in the wallet as well!!  And you know what it is like being in Thailand without money: A PAIN IN THE ASS - literally

On the same day we took the train (12 hours) to Bangkok.

on the train
We spend a couple of days there for shopping and chilling! :) We stayed in Bangkok until our flight was going to the Philippines, finally – our 10th country on our list!!!!

We looking forward to seeing Nino again and to the time we will spend together! :)
